Fire Hydrants are often located on premises which occupy large spaces and that could be far away from any public street mounted hydrants. These are mains water supplies that can be connected into by the emergency services when fighting a fire. They require inspecting visually and also pressure testing.
Fire Hydrants must undergo an annual test and inspection, with a recommended visual inspection every six months.
