EDSB will install and maintain Wet and Dry Risers into buildings where the emergency services would benefit from having a water supply through the building to aid them in fighting a fire. Risers have outlets on each floor to allow the Fire Brigade to connect their hoses. They can be either dry (contain no water) or wet (have water in the all the time), depending on the type of incoming water supply, size or design of the building.
