Role Description

We are now looking to recruit a Procurement Administrator to work within our Procurement team. The successful candidate will have an analytical mindset and be able to provide management reporting, as well as carrying out general Procurement duties.
This role will include but not limited to the items below:

  • Using analytical skills, obtain and analyse data within the department
  • Ability to produce monthly excel reports
  • Ability to work with Sage to extract data and provide management reporting
  • Prepare and update reports, records and pricing lists
  • Work with the Commercial Director to collect and analyse procurement data to form meaningful insights and help guide effective business decisions
  • Checking off orders delivered to the Leeds office, taking the delivery note and checking this against the actual delivery.
  • Goods receiving any items on the Cash 4 Windows database system
  • Ensuring when order confirmations come in they are saved on the system
  • Managing the Procurement inbox
  • Issuing stock out to engineers as it arrives in the office
  • Managing the returns process which includes receiving the returns off the engineers, ensuring the correct paperwork is completed and the returns are completed on the system
  • Packing any returns up, contacting the supplier and sending the returns back, being commercially aware and using the most cost effective method of transportation
  • Goods receiving items remotely from engineers, updating the order confirmations
  • Booking hotels for engineers
  • General administration duties including purchasing ad hoc office supplies, greeting visitors and organising lunches


Required Skills

  • The ideal candidate should have some experience of administration in a fast paced environment as well as possessing excellent organisational skills.
  • Previous experience of Cash 4 Windows database is desirable but not essential.
  • Good communication skills are required as there will be a lot of interaction between suppliers, engineers and members of the Procurement team.
  • Excellent analytical skills, the ability to use Excel and Sage, great attention to detail and a natural curiosity are required in order to provide insights and management reports
  • A full, clean driving licence is desirable.

The successful candidate will be able to think commercially, work quickly and accurately and have a willingness to learn.

Working hours are 08:30 to 17:00 with a 30 minute lunch break.  Salary will be discussed at interview stage.
