EDSB CELEBRATING SUCCESS AT THE SECURITY EVENT, NEC

3 May 2024 - news

EDSB Compliance Solutions celebrated a monumental day at the NEC Birmingham on the 30th of April with two unprecedented achievements. It was the first day of the annual Security Event which is a leading industry show attended by thousands of Fire & Security professionals, therefore the EDSB OneTeam attended in their numbers as we not only had our Group MD nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year but EDSB also had one of our apprentice engineers participating on site in the National Apprenticeship Finals.

This in itself is a defining moment for our great business as confirmation of EDSB’s position in the industry. However, it gets better as in true EDSB style we smashed it out the park and our MD, Jonathan Parker was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year.

Group Managing Director, Jonathan Parker Awarded Entrepreneur of the Year

This is the first time EDSB or its people have been nominated for an award and we are extremely honoured to be considered as a winner alongside so many other worthy nominees. The SSEA Entrepreneur of the Year Mr Jonathan Parker said:

“I am incredibly proud to have been voted the winner of the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Security & Safety Entrepreneur Awards.

We have been building EDSB’s offering for a number of years now and this award is not about me, but about the whole team at EDSB. As a business we always go one step further to deliver to our clients, whilst internally fostering a culture of growth and opportunity.

We will continue to build on this during 2024, and I look forward to the next exciting chapter in EDSB’s future.”

Asim Hussain Representing EDSB at the WorldSkills UK Fire Alarm Competition

We were immensely proud to witness Asim in action at the Security Event, having made it through to the National Qualifier Semi Finals in the WorldSkills UK Fire Alarm Competition. He installed a brand new and unreleased Honeywell Morley Max panel, additional devices and Dualcom and his work proved to be neat and compliant.

Asim Hussain had this to say: “I'm absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to represent EDSB in the Security Event and being part of the Apprenticeship competition was really enjoyable. Our MD has generously offered to match the prize, which serves as a massive incentive for me to give it my all and bring honour to EDSB from my performance.”

We are excited to find out the result of the Semi Finals in July and should Asim get through, the WorldSkills National Final will be held in November. However, EDSB OneTeam think you are a winner already!
