EDSB Group of Companies Nominate Omega Care for Life as Charity Partner

5 June 2019 - news
EDSB Group of Companies are proud to announce Omega care for life as our nominated Charity Partner.

Over the past 12 months EDSB have supported and contributed towards many local worthwhile causes, something we have been proud to promote. However, when EDSB were first introduced to Omega care for life, our focus on supporting a single charity in order to maximise our impact became our priority.

Omega is a progressive, end of life charity supporting the bereaved and caring families looking after someone with life-limiting or terminal illness. They believe that caring is everyone’s business. Many of the people they help are in crisis or have become socially isolated; some, including the frail-elderly are themselves near end of life.

Omega work collaboratively to help people to help themselves. They encourage peer-support and share information and coping skills. Omega help clients to address their personal priorities, keep in touch with lonely clients, and provide purposeful, therapeutic paid work and volunteering opportunities.

EDSB Group Marketing Manager, Mark Solomon explains the move:

‘From our initial conversation with Omega, EDSB were impressed by their hard work and dedication. End of life care and bereavement is an issue that affects all of us. We are delighted that Omega have embraced our partnership offer and we look forward to working together.

EDSB Group of Companies will help to raise awareness of Omega’s mission and will also contribute all our charitable donations to their work. In today’s busy world, we often forget about the elderly, their struggles and the challenges of end of life care. Every day, the Omega team work selflessly to improve the lives of the people they serve. Such a humbling achievement deserves greater recognition. We are very proud of this mutually beneficial partnership and can’t wait to start working together. Omega care for life and the EDSB Group have similar expectations; they have a shared interest in improving the lives of the same client group, which makes this partnership meaningful and promising.

Please take 5 minutes to visit the Omega care for life website, www.omega.uk.net, to see some of the good work they deliver, including the multi-award-winning Chatterbox Action Against Loneliness Programme and the new Delphinium companionship service.’
