The EDSB Group of Companies have supported grassroots football over the past 5 years and this year we have gone the extra mile with sponsorship of various teams across the country.
EDSB are delighted to sponsor Westbury Strikerz Football Club, a North Manchester team which have grown up together, co-coached by an EDSB Engineer, Paul Ridgley. They have experienced many high’s and low’s already including winning a Cup match with their Goalkeeper receiving the Player of the match award for his amazing contribution. We are sure there will be many successes to follow in the near future.
The Westbury Strikerz manager, Sarah Turnock comments:
“Westbury Strikerz have been a team for 7 years now and we are going to our 8th season. We play 11 a side grassroots and play in the North Bury Junior football league. Myself and Julian started the team over 7 years ago and have gained 2 extra coaches, Paul Ridgley and Curtis Turnock, who do a lot of the training session now. Paul has brought a lot to the team since he’s been coaching them. We are hoping for a good season.”
