RESTRICTING THE SPREAD OF FIRE AND SMOKE TO HELP PROTECT YOUR PEOPLE AND BUILDINGS.
Fire doors operate like all other doors in normal circumstances, however form a critical part of the Passive Fire Protection measures in the event of a fire.
A fire door which has been correctly designed, installed and maintained will help to prevent the spread of smoke and fire, in the event of a fire within the building. Are you confident that your fire doors would operate as intended, should they be required?
EDSB can design, supply, install, maintain, inspect and repair your fire doors as required.
All fire doors designed, supplied and installed by EDSB will be sourced from 3rd Party Accredited suppliers only, be issued with the relevant product certification and installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The installation would then be fully documented and all reports including the manufacturers literature and product certification handed over on completion.
Fire doors are subject to on-going wear and tear and so should be regularly inspected to ensure that when required, they operate as intended. Inspections should be carried out twice per year, or more frequently should the Fire Risk Assessment require this i.e. in areas of heavy use or regular damage. All fire door inspections carried out by EDSB are reported in real time using our cloud based reporting platform, and records available for client access.
Industry Standards: RRO 2005, BS 9999 , BS 7974, Building Regs 2010
