Fire Stopping

RESTRICTING THE SPREAD OF FIRE AND SMOKE TO HELP PROTECT YOUR PEOPLE AND BUILDINGS.

A firestop or fire-stopping is a Passive Fire Protection measure that is used to seal around openings and between joints in a fire-resistance-rated wall or floor assembly. Firestops are designed to maintain the fire-resistance rating of a wall or floor assembly intended to restrict the spread of fire and smoke.

EDSB can design, supply, install, maintain, inspect and repair your fire stopping systems as required.

All fire stopping systems designed, supplied and installed by EDSB will be sourced from 3rd Party Accredited suppliers only, be issued with the relevant product certification and installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The installation would then be fully documented and all reports including the manufacturers literature and product certification handed over on completion.

EDSB can also provide solutions for the on-going Management of your fire stopping systems i.e. when installation works are undertaken on site which may disrupt the existing fire stopping systems.
