Apprentice Installation Fire & Security Engineer

Role Description
We are now looking to employ a Fire & Security Installation Apprentice to work across a number of sites.
As an apprentice, you will complete a three year work based learning apprenticeship with Skills for Security, by attending college and working with a qualified engineer. You will assist in the installation of a range of fire and security products (CCTV Systems, Access Control, Fire Systems, Intruder Alarms)
This role will include but not limited to the items below :
- Installing, testing and maintaining different systems – including a range of fire, emergency and security systems
- Learning about electrical and electronic principles – including codes of practice, commissioning, design criteria and installation, testing and maintenance techniques
- Learning about system technologies
- Demonstrating good knowledge of health and safety practices, regulations and legislation within fire, emergency and security environments
- Demonstrating good communication styles and communicating in a clear, articulate and professional manner
- Punctual and accurate completion of timesheets on a monthly basis
Off the job training provided by Skills for Security:
Level 3 Fire Emergency and Security Systems Advanced
- Functional Skills Maths and English (if required)
- Remote and in house training on fire & security systems
- You will experience real world problem solving and installing a variety of systems that will give you the skill set to become a qualified installer
As well as qualifications gained through the apprenticeship, we will look at additional industry related courses and qualifications to assist with your learning and skill set. These may range from IPAF qualifications to gaining a ECS Card

Working hours are 08:30 to 17:00 with a 30 minute lunch break. Salary will be discussed at interview stage.
