In the intense heat of the Yorkshire Dales on 26th June 2024, our determined EDSB team including Adam Wider, Craig Crunkhorn, Adam Cramp and James & Kate Sirrell, set out to conquer the Mitie Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge. Covering over 24 miles and three formidable peaks: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, the team successfully completed the task in under 12 hours.

This event, organised by Mitie, brought together multiple companies, each with a shared goal of raising awareness and funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Working as an unstoppable unit, the entire group smashed their target, managing to raise over £18,000. This collective effort showed the power of the #OneTeam ethos, highlighting the impact we can make together.

Included within the EDSB employees which took part in this event, we would like to give special recognition to John Koranteng (pictured below) who played a massive role in taking care of the group by driving the support van throughout the whole day. In addition to this, John’s dedication and support was instrumental in the team’s success, as he provided essential supplies as well as plenty of encouragement, which boosted the team’s morale.

Mitie’s Regional Director MIHEEM, Howard Moxon expressed his appreciation by saying, “I would like to say a massive thank you for the support given by EDSB Compliance Solutions and participation on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge, we completed raising over £18,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

A special thank you also needs to be given to John Koranteng, his friendly caring nature truly brought a smile to hide the pain of the walk and heat. John is a true credit to EDSB.”

Well done to everyone involved at EDSB and Mitie for completing a gruelling task on an extremely hot day, raising a huge amount for such a deserved cause!
