Supporting Grassroots Football: Lowdham Colts U13’s Boys Update
Following an impressive league win last year, the Lowdham Colts Under 13 boys have made the exciting transition to 11-a-side for the upcoming season. This change has significantly expanded the squad, allowing for more players to join and contribute to the team’s success. Many of these boys have been playing together since the age of five and their journey has been proudly supported by EDSB for over six years through essential sponsorships.
Club manager Jason Simpkins shared his thoughts: “The much needed funds from our sponsors go towards kits, both home and away, as well as tracksuits. Any remaining funds help us purchase necessary equipment. This support ensures that all players can take the field together and truly feel like a unified team.”
With the new 11-a-side format and additional players, the focus for the team is on developing their synergy and enjoying the game. During pre-season the team had some initial success with solid performances and good results. While this is encouraging, the team is preparing for more competitive challenges ahead as they enter into a new league season in September.
EDSB is extremely proud of the accomplishments of this team. Watching them grow over the past six years has been incredible, and we eagerly anticipate what the future holds for them. We’re backing you all the way, boys – best of luck this season!
