Supporting Grassroots Sports: Milford ARLFC U12’s Girls
EDSB Compliance Solutions has a long-standing commitment to supporting Grassroots sports teams and we are more than delighted to announce our sponsorship of the Milford Amateur Rugby League Football Club under 12 girls’ team this year, the first-ever girls’ team at Milford. This sponsorship has allowed the club to secure a full kit for the team, ensuring they are well prepared for the season ahead.
EDSB‘s PFWH Director, Adam Wider, has been involved with the club for many years. Through him, we were introduced to Dave Bray, Team Manager, and saw the potential of supporting this growing team. As Milford Rugby Club is local to EDSB’s head office at Compliance House, it felt like a natural partnership.
Dave made a promise to a young player that he would form a girls team, allowing her to remain at Milford, a club she truly loves and he has since fulfilled that promise. EDSB is proud to see the team grow from 7 to 11 players over the winter months, clearly demonstrating their efforts and commitment to this sport. This is more than just a sponsorship and EDSB is honoured to be a true partner in this journey. We understand that running a team without the financial support is difficult due to the high costs such as kits and transport, so to be able to provide this for the girls at Milford is a privilege.
We asked Team Managers, Dave Bray and Chloe Winter, what this means to them:
“To say we are grateful is an understatement. EDSB have been amazing to deal with and we cannot wait to create a great partnership and lasting friendship across the upcoming years.”
Dave‘s expectations for the upcoming season:
“As this is a brand-new start up, my expectations are to simply keep the team together and have enough players to continue into the 2026 season. This will be a tough ask, especially at this age group, but with that being said, there are plenty of girls’ teams in Leeds within this age range so we are confident we can achieve this. My goal is to make sure that in this season we have a full squad of over 20 girls playing in a formal league.”
EDSB is excited to work closely with Milford and we wish the best for this team and their success in the future.
