Supporting Grassroots Football: Phoenix Rangers U12’s Boys FC

When one of our Service Engineers, Andy Allen, came to us with this sponsorship request, we were more than delighted to be able to stand behind such a strong team and contribute to their efforts and ambition.

Phoenix Rangers FC are a small team which began their journey six years ago at U7’s. Made up of children from the local community, their main objective is to create a safe and enjoyable environment where the boys can express themselves and have fun.

Playing in the Central Warwickshire League, which features over 130 teams from the Midlands, the boys have consistently performed well and found themselves going against the top teams in the league last season, which only reflects their strong attitude and determination. Despite limited funding compared to the bigger clubs, with everything being self-funded by the parents, their success against these larger teams is a real testament to the boys and their hard work. 

We asked Team Manager, Patrick McLiddy, what this sponsorship means to him:

“EDSB’s sponsorship is massive for us being self-funded. It has given the boys a kit to be proud of and makes them look professional on the pitch as we go through our U12’s season. EDSB also share our values and having them as a sponsor means a lot to us. The team are very excited for the future and without EDSB this wouldn’t be possible.”

The team has experienced some changes, welcoming a few more players to strengthen their depth. One thing for sure is that they are committed to pushing themselves and hold full belief that they will win their division.

Most importantly, as the boys go into their first year of senior school, their main focus is having a place to forget about all the challenges outside of football.
