SUPPORTING GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL: LOWDHAM COLTS U12’s

19 April 2024 - news|sponsorship

EDSB Compliance Solutions are delighted to once again support Lowdham Colts FC in Nottingham for another season. Having been committed sponsors since 2018, we have really seen the team develop their skills and thrive on the football field as they proudly wear the EDSB logo on their kits. Most of the team have played together since they were 5 years old. New members have joined as the numbers per side have increased. The squad is made up of players from Lowdham and at least 4 other surrounding villages.

Last month Lowdham Colts U12’s said goodbye to Aiden Slinger, a player that has been a huge part of the team since joining in 2018. He was also the winner of the EDSB sponsors player of the season for 2022/23 season. Aiden and his family are moving to make a new life in Australia. It has been great to see Aiden and the team progress throughout the time EDSB have supported them, moving into its 7th year. The boys are really going to miss Aiden, he is a valuable member of the team, he will always be welcome back if ever they come to visit, once a Colt always a Colt! We would just like to wish the Slinger family all the very best for the future.

EDSB’s Client Relationship Director, Craig Crunkhorn, whose son Jacob is in the football team, commented on the importance of this sponsorship and exactly what the funds were going towards:
“It is vital to get support at Grassroots level sport to ensure that all children have an equal opportunity to play without the concerns around the expenses for parents. At Lowdham Colts, we ensure all players are provided with a home and away kit as a minimum. This ensures all players feel part of the team.”

The team’s coach, Jason Simpkins expressed his expectations for the season:
“We are keen to continue building on our team in readiness for 11 aside football next season. We aim to finish as high up the league as we can and if possible, improve on being runners up in the cup! But most of all, we want the team to continue and for the players to enjoy football.”

EDSB are proud to support this team and wishes them all the best for the future!
